⎡REVIEW⎦Memebox I'm Eyeshadow Palette #SP01 Day to Night & #SP02 Night to Day

I've been eyeing these pallets even before they made it to the Memebox USA site. I was really conflicted about which to buy since I really wanted to get a palette with more pinks (#SP02) but #SP01 just seemed so much more wearable. In the end I got both 😅.

The packaging it came in is kinda meh. It's in the Pantone Colors of the Year for 2016.

The brush that comes with the palette is *ok*, it does its job if you need to use it on the go. Personally, I did not find it to pick up/apply the product as well as my other brushes. It's also not the softest brush either.

I'm a bit bummed I missed out on the $22 mobile app deal for the original black palettes. I mean, who doesn't like sleek, black stuff? I guess the extra lipsticks will just have to be my compensation for the packaging color. I'm pretty pleased with the lipsticks. The colors honestly didn't look super appealing to me at first, but they ended up looking quite nice.

The palette has a magnetic closure and it seems to do a pretty good job of staying closed. The palettes actually kind of stick together if you stack them on top of each other. The palette itself has a pretty nice weight to it and the plastic seems to be of decent quality. I have noticed that the corners of the shadows pop out ever so slightly sometimes. They don't really seem at risk of falling out so it doesn't really bother me much.

The shimmery colors are much more pigmented than the matte colors. The only dud in these two palettes for me is Special Day in the #SP01 palette. SO MUCH FALL OUT!! But it's still great when you need an extra dose of gold glitter :P I get the best results when I apply this shadow with my finger or when I spray some mist on my brush before picking it up.

Overall, I highly recommend these palettes to everyone, especially beginners who are looking to buy their first palette.
