Today I'll be reviewing the Labiotte Wine Lip Tint in CR01 Rose Coral.
I actually got my friend to combine this purchase with her order of the I'm Eyeshadow Palette in #SP02 so that we'd get free shipping. When the box came, it turned out that Memebox had sent her someone else's order, which meant even more waiting for our actual order to arrive. Furthermore, it was her first time ordering from Memebox. Talk about a bad first impression with the site!
My mom has been a bit annoyed with me since I've been buying so many lip products lately, but when I first saw this I knew I had to buy it. The packaging was simply too cute to resist.
Unlike the I'm Gel Tint from Memebox, the Labiotte Wine Tint has a very sweet and pleasant taste. It smells a bit like fruit juice.
I think the color is a really nice pink coral color that can easily be worn everyday. The consistency is bit more on the watery side, but I don't find application difficult at all. Unfortunately, I do find it to be a bit drying on my lips. It also doesn't last nearly as long or fade as evenly as the I'm Gel Tint.
Initially, I was pretty unimpressed with the performance of this tint, however, I was surprised when Tina Yong tried out RD01 Shiraz Red, RD02 Nebbiolo Red, and RD03 Burgandy. Contrary to my experience, she had a really hard time removing the tints. Of course all three of the shades she tried were much darker than the one I bought so perhaps the staying power can be attributed to that?
I probably will not be repurchasing my shade, CR01 Rose Coral, as I think there are probably other better products out there. However, I'd still love to try out a few of the other shades they offer after seeing how well they worked out for others.
